Valentine's Day

While thinking of something to make with my 3-year old grand daughter for Valentine's Day, I remembered the fun we had making tissue flowers when we were young kids (probably a little older than Adison but I'll try them with her anyhow).  Remember those times?

Valentine Tissue Paper Hearts
(Tissue Paper [red, pink, yellow], green pipe cleaners)

Lay 3 or 4 sheets of tissue paper on top of each other

Working with the shorter side, fold tissue paper back and forth as if making a paper fan.  Continue until you have folded the entire length.

Wrap a pipe cleaner tightly around the middle of the folded paper.

Separate the tissue paper by lifting each piece and pulling it toward the center to "fluff out" the petals of the flower

Optional:  Spray a bit of perfume into the air several inches above the flower.
These are also nice for Mother's Day, Easter, any special occasion for your grand daughter to give one to her Mom with your help.

HAVE FUN!!
